KCIC is proud to share that the organization Women We Admire has named two of our colleagues to the list of Top 50 Women Leaders of DC for 2024: Michelle Potter, Chief Operations Officer and Senior Managing Director, and Nancy Gutzler, Senior Managing Director.

Awardees were chosen based on their accomplishments and for encouraging and promoting lasting change that impacts the lives of other women and empowers them to lead in their own path.

Having spent much of her career serving clients who are asbestos defendants, Michelle is an authority on the current state of the asbestos litigation industry. At KCIC, her day-to-day role is to manage client relationships and lead projects to develop and implement claims processing procedures and systems, as well as to perform complex analyses of different types of claims and insurance. She also is tasked with helping the company grow through business development activities and internal initiatives. Learn more about Michelle here.

Nancy works with clients who are involved in legal disputes regarding product liabilities in a wide variety of industries on projects that involve insurance coverage litigation and settlement. She regularly provides expert testimony in areas including proof of underlying exhaustion; allocation of claims to insurance coverage; sampling, review and analytics related to large volumes of claims and data; and development of claims processing procedures and systems. She especially enjoys working collaboratively with her clients to develop both short and long-terms goals and then with her team to achieve those goals.  Learn more about Nancy here.
